1- Schools allow routers - Many schools allow you register your router mac address. Even then chromecast may not work? Post examples of success only.
2- No routers - Connected to laptop with approved mac address to wired port, Share laptop wifi to chromecast? Work?
3- Clone Mac - Register mac address of your chromecast, spoof this to your laptop, login to school/hotel etc. turn off laptop wifi. Plug in chromecast...working?
I'm not a student. Just assuming this is a great product for students. Back to school soon, get working on this now!
