I downloaded chronus a couple weeks ago for the customization options and how well it fit with my current theme. However, now I notice my battery usage, as alluded to before, is quite a bit more significant than it was for the first month and a half I had my S7. I noticed after downloading chronus, the battery drains at a much faster rate, and Android system is now taking up significantly more power than it used to. Before it was using only about 1-3% of the total battery discharge, now it's up at 10%. Did not do this until after installing chronus.

Have you checked the update frequency for the widget? If it's set to update a lot, then that would drain your battery. Also, widgets that are graphically intensive will use more resources every time you see them on screen, so if you use that a lot it also will impact the battery life.

uninstalled it and went to the stock weather widget. battery drain back to a good level, and Android system is back down to its usual 1-3% of the total battery use. Guess it just didn't gel with how I have it set up.
