Chrysler Uconnect not receiving texts

My last phone was on Android Marshmallow and my 2015 Chrysler vehicle was receiving texts without a problem. Now that I have the Pixel 2 XL on Android Pie, it no longer works. My Bluetooth settings are on to allow for texts.
Have others experienced this? Does the system in the vehicle need to be updated?

I have a 2018 Dodge Charger . Im using an Pixel 2 XL on Android Pie . I am getting my texts just fine .

After entering the info you can either have them update it at your dealership if it shows it needs updating.
Or, if you are comfortable doing it yourself (and needs updating)
You will have to use a USB stick . I think it has to be a certain memory size , cant remember for sure. Download it from your computer and install on the USB stick , and follow instructions to install to radio.

I've got a 2018 Ram 1500 with 8.4 UConnect and I sometimes do not receive texts from one, and only one contact--my wife. This has happened on Oreo and Pie.

I'm still working out whether or not this is a problem.

I have a 2016 Chrysler and haven't had any problems receiving messages so far.

I have a 2016 Jeep Cherokee.. while on the Pie Beta,I had to reset the U-connect (delete Bluetooth devices) and have not had an issue after.. might be worth a try..

Delete on the phone and reconnect or on U-connect?

I deleted the U-connect "recognized pairings"
worked fine after repairing the phone to the U-connect
