Maybe there is a post that can explain this in detail but I haven't had any luck to find a post that explain the order of install Root, Roms, Kernals and radios. If you know of a link please share..
I have been reading over the post and trying to get the process of rooting and installing ROMs on a HTC Thunderbolt, I have got it down to a art of doing any customizing on my Droid X but since HTC appears to be quite a bit different and I am not absolutely sure of correct way to install curtain parts...
With Droid X all themes and roms depends on the OS build but when I look over the roms for the HTC TB it does not specifically say if the build is a factor to consider, the one click root method speaks about the MR1 update but nothing of the MR2 build but the leaked version was released before the official version but this version was still rooted but I havent been able to figure out the process and if the MR1 version will work.
So here is where I am sitting...
1. How can I be sure that I am using the correct items (Root, Roms, Kernels and radios)
2. Does the MR1 root process works on the MR2 update
3. If this doesn't work, how can I install the MR2 update if I use the Auto One Click Method
4. When is a Radio required to be installed - At what point do you install
5. When is Kernels required to be installed - At what point do you install
6. The best method that can restore back to stock build for returning for service or repair.. I hear about MUU files and I was wondering if this is similar to a SBF file for Motorola and if so after installing do it restore everything or do you have to restore the radio for that image?
Sorry for all the newb questions but I am about to get a TB and I want to understand this before I start because I hear it isn't as easy to restore from a brick situation like it is with the Motorola..
Any help would be greatly appreciated....
