So, one of the nice things about the Microsoft Band 2 and the Samsung Gear Fit 2 is their do-not-disturb (Fit 2) and sleep (Band 2) modes. Put them in these modes and notifications are turned off and they don't wake up with a write flick. However, alarms still work perfectly, as does sleep tracking.

I'm confused about Theater mode in Android Wear. It seems like it might not support alarms and so isn't great for sleeping. Can anyone confirm if this is true or not? Also, does sleep tracking work normally in Theater mode?

Also, it seems like Theater mode has been removed from Android Wear 2.0. Is that true?

This is vital functionality for me, and I'm thinking of picking up an Asus ZenWatch 3 next month, so it's also kind of timely. Thanks!

So, ZenWatch 3 came in, liking it. Discovered the answer to my own question: yes, alarms come through when the watch is in Theater Mode. Interestingly, because the screen isn't technically responding, you can't turn an alarm off or snooze it, but at least it kicks off. Your only option is to hit the side button and bring it out of Theater mode, but that also turns off the alarm.

Hopefully they'll make this work better in Android Wear 2.

With my LG Sports Watch I'm having problems. My default alarm (probably Google alarm) won't show up with theater mode. I had another alarm app on my SW3 with Android Wear 1.0 and this one had no problems showing up with theater mode.
