Has anyone tried the Clarivue screen protector on their Optimus V? Here's a link:

LG Optimus S Screen Protector from Clarivue

I have one on my Rumor Touch and really like it. It fits perfectly, still looks brand new after being on the phone for almost a year, and the installation was very easy, unlike (in my limited experience) that of the Zagg Invisible Shield. The Rumor Touch, obviously, has a different type of screen than that of the Optimus V or any smartphone, so I wondered if it causes any problems with how responsive/sensitive the screen is to touch.

Yes, when I first received my V I ordered the Anti Glare protector.

After 2 days I had to remove it because of how degraded the screen quality was. It was unbearable.

Have since been using cheap amazon ones.

However I cannot speak on there other versions.

I haven't ever tried their anti-glare version, just their ultra clear screen protector. From your experience, I guess the anti-glare version should be avoided then!

I wondered if the anti-glare protector might have a tendency to cloud/dull the screen. Is this what you found, Micky5298?

Yes it is hard to describe but it's like looking at a blur of colored tiny pixels.

Definitely not a recommendation for their anti-glare screen. I will stick to the clear screens, with whatever brand I decide on.

Anyone here with a clear screen for the OV from Clarivue?

Micky - were the cheap Amazon screen protectors easy to install? Are these the ones you purchased: Amazon.com: 5x LG Optimus S LS670 Premium Clear LCD Screen Protector Shield Cover Guard Film Kit, no cutting is required! Exact fit and satisfaction guaranteed!: Cell Phones & Accessories ? The price is certainly nice, but I am just wondering if a 10 cent screen protector will really provide protection - not that price always reflects quality, but still.... Also, some of the reviewers of the product on Amazon said that the protector does not fit the Optimus V but I take it you did not have this problem?

I have used a few different screen protectors all the cheapest I could find on ebay. I find that the cheaper the easier to apply but some scratch alittle easier or don't fit perfect but do cover all needed area. I have the worst fitting one yet on my phone atm for $1.27 for a pack of 5 with free shipping but protects better than most I have had. I has about 1mm of space along 1 side and about .5mm along the top. IMO that is still fine for the saving. The ones that scratch easier I just change faster but they still last longer since I get 5 for the price of 1 of the expensive ones.

A lot of people seem to be quite happy with the cheaper screensavers from eBay or Amazon. I also read about the fact that if you don't remove the protective cover that comes with the phone from the factory, you already have a good screen protector without having to buy an after-market one. Perhaps that's the way to go!

I'll have to think about this. Plenty of time to do more research in general since it will be a while before I buy the phone anyway.

I had a friend who never removed the factory applied one and didn't seen to have any problems. Also, it's always a perfect fit :)
