Class 6 vs Class 2

Looking at buying a 16gb card class 6 card, but they seem a bit pricey at around $60 from newegg or amazon.

What exactly is the class 6 improved write speed going to do for me? I plan to put maybe 1000 songs, and a bunch of mp4 movies on the card, so mostly, read performance is key for me.

Honestly, not much. Class 2 should be more than adequate for that.

No. There's no reason for that to be.

Sure there is. He is referring to a post stating that the read/write speeds of the phone are a bottleneck on higher speed cards. I have no idea why HTC would do that but we won't truly know until the phone is in more people hands.

This thread is good reading. Classes specify the minimum write speed a card must meet for the respective class.
