Clean up email

Before forwarding an email most have ">" and or "l" located on the left side usually the length of message (sometimes multiple).

I would like an utility to removed this garbage and copy cleaned into clipboard memory to be posted back.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Without these markers, how would your recipient(s) distinguish the original email from your comments?
