So it's metal.. should we / is it safe to use various metal polishing products on the back of the One?
Any ex iPhone people have past experience with the best way to go?

Alcohol wipes....make sure you squeeze out any access alcohol from the wipe(s). Then polish with an eye glass cloth.

I use Pledge Multi Surface with Microfiber.

Warm water.

Learn to wash your hands.

Not sure putting water on my phone is anything I would do. I do wash my hands not sure how that has anything to do with cleaning my phone. Even with clean hands you can get oil from handling it

Totally agree with Topgonzo, putting water on my phone is not something I would do. Also, you can wash your hands every 15 minutes and it doesn't mean oils won't be left on the phone when using it.

A warm breath, and a microfibre cloth. Done.

Now what about the white strips? Has anyone figured out how to clean those? Mine are getting dirty.

When I get out of the shower I use the damp towel to clean my one. Works great

Seriously? It's not titanium, so, aluminum or not, it has a coating over it... If you use metal polish on it you will mess it up. I just rub mine on my shirt sleeve and it's fine... And mine is black

I use some alcohol wipes from the hospital I work at. Luckily, I can get them for free! They clean the aluminum really well, actually.

Lens cleaning wipes. No metal polish or Windex or any chemical cleaner. It could mess up ur screen and can corrode the internals if u manage to get it inside. Use only cotton towels no paper products.

from what ever phone I feel like using today.

You should def use some type if antibacterial cleaning solution. Your phone my be one of the dirtiest things that you carry on you all day. Its with you in the bathroom, the gym, the kitchen, at work, in your kids hands, sneeze, cough, blow your nose, and your phone is always touched afterwards. Check it out! The cell phone is not considered the dirtiest, but it comes close.
