Clear plate/film on rear P6 rear camera?

I don't want to pick at something I shouldn't, but is that a plate/film/protectant on the rear camera of the P6 that is supposed to be taken off? There's a slight right around it that you can feel with your fingernail

I never notice it until you mentioned it. I'm not touching it because to the right there is a tiny sensor or mic not sure what it's used for but the film protector or whatever it is the camera came with has a cut out hole for that tiny sensor or mic. That to me tells me it should stay but I'm not certain. For now I'm leaving it until someone could confirm.

Yeah, I read about this earlier today on Reddit. Kept going back and forth.... "Supposedly" a couple people said it was okay to take off.... I'm not touching anything without concrete confirmation...lol

If it was supposed to be removed I would think it should have a pull tab or something.
