Clearing the air.. with Apple.

How soon people forget. Quit bickering or this thread will be closed, infractions handed out, and maybe some vacations for ignoring a moderator.

Thanks.

Sorry, Kevin, I didn't think it had gone past the point of being all in good fun.

It did when I posted it the first time ;).

But no worries. I love a great argument, so long as we don't start calling each other Fandroids, iSheep, or whatever terms on en vogue at the moment.

I'm not in disagreement that facts are facts, I just find it interesting that you have such a desperate need to correct every to relating to Apple. I don't see you actively correcting Apple users who post inaccurate comments about Android.

I don't personally own an Apple device so I wouldn't be on an Apple forum.

Where are the Apple users on Android Central who post inaccurate comments about Android?

Point me that way and I'll dive right in.

You'll never see me call somebody an iSheep. Ever.

So here is the thing, and I am not even a Galaxy S3 owner but I saw this page on the main forums page...

The Jimmy Kimmel skit making fun of people that buy iPhones summarizes people that buy them perfectly. And that is exactly the problem. People are so brainwashed and caught up in the "i am going to get the iPhone to be cool" thing that most of them never have ANYTHING negative to say about Apple no matter what they do. It is this hesitance to critique anything Apple that is going to keep Apple from really making the leap they are capable with their phone. They sell their phone 98% based off hype and the fact that they market it as the "it" thing to their followers. As long as this keeps happening and they can get away with just adding a row of icons, and using technology that other phones have had for years (and some still missing) Apple will never do anything about it and continue to do this. I do not blame Apple for bringing out seemingly the same looking phone for 7 years and bringing out the same damn GUI for 7 years when people eat that **** up.

So to answer your question, the followers are to blame. Someone should really consider studying people who buy iPhones and just everything associated with iPhone release dates because it is amazing the way people behave, the things people say, and how the iPhone seemingly controls a persons soul. For those of you that have social networks whether it bet Twitter, Instagram, Facebook ... notice your feeds. What is it? I bet from today forward everytime someone gets the iPhone 5 they will either post a picture of their purchase, post an update about it, tweet about it or do something to stroke their go or to let you know "hey I have it! I am cool!"

Just today one of my acquaintances posted a picture with her iPhone 5 box and I kid you not (ill take a screenshot if you need to see it) the title "Overrated? Maybe. But its mine!!! and I am happy and I love it." Next to it a money sign. These are the types of things people do. I find all this stuff very interesting and it is just crazy.

to anyone familiar with scottish football (soccer), theres a strong rivalry between Glasgow Celtic and Glasgow Rangers. Glasgow has a very high percentage of people descended from Irish imigrants and traditionaly support Celtic.. Rangers are mainly supported by British loyalists (people who are [usualy blindly] loyal to an english parliament and queen)
theres a strong rivalry and it can be fun to have some lighted banter with the other side but on too many occasions its turned to blood-shed!
this is how i see the iphone/android thing (although not literaly lol) the banter is fine but the personal hatred is bad.
p.s Rangers recently went bankrupt and got demoted from near the top of the premier league to bottom of 3rd devision because theyd spent money they didnt have on expensive players and therefore won trophies they didnt deserve (haha) :)
but to be honest i miss them being at the top with us (Celtic) and the "old firm" (matches between celtic and rangers) were electric although it usualy caused violence all over our city.
guess im tryin to make a metaphor lol... hope it makes sense ;)

global s3, UK. Ask me anything and ill reply even if its just an intelligent (or crazy) guess ;)
