Clearing the Clipboard

Does anyone know how to clear the clipboard? Everytime I go to use the keyboard the blue bubble or marker pops up with the notice that I can paste previously copied text, therefore blocking part of the keyboard.

I downloaded an app called History Eraser .. it's free. Does the trick. That's the only way I could figure out how to.
