clipboard question

I've been all over the internet and can't find an answer.

How, or can you, clear the clipboard on a Nexus 7 2013?

I tried on my Nexus 5 and couldn't figure out a way. I don't think it stores much for cached data, as you can really only keep one thing in the clipboard at any given time.

This is not good for many reasons, security not the least of them.
