Clock alarm

Suddenly my clock alarm has added visual instructions to 'SAY STOP' in addition to the normal PRESS STOP. The manual operation no longer works. I have to say 'STOP' to shut down the alarm.
What settings do I need to change to allow me to shut down the alarm by pressing the STOP button. Thanks.

Are you able to swipe the alarm away in the notifications?

No. The system doesn't respond to anything other than saying 'STOP'. I can only shut down the system.

I think I found the problem. In using SWIPE gesture, I was swiping up. I failed to realize that I needed to swipe RIGHT to stop the alarm, not UP.
