Hello,

So I just rooted my Droid and installed CM6.1.2. Without installing SetCPU, what's the default clock speed in CM6.1.2? I've read different answers in different places, and I haven't see the answer on the CM site itself.

If it isn't overclocked at all, have folks had any luck with SetCPU and CM?

Thanks,
SRV

The kernel packaged with CM6.1.2 is capable of 800MHz, but it is not set that way when you load CM6. It is set to 600MHz. SetCPU works great with CM, I've used it since 6.1.2. You can quickly and easily bump your Droid up.

For even more performance and great battery life, check out a custom built kernel. I use Chevy No. 1's kernels. Currently I'm running his LowVoltage 1.2GHz kernel with great performance and battery.

You have to go into settings/CyanogenMod settings/Performance/CPU settings, from within there you can set CPU MIN/MAX and choose from the different governors also.

Is that a CM7 (GB) thing? I don't seem to have CPU settings under CM Settings / Performance for my CM 6.2.1 ROM.

Hmm...I am currently on a GB build and have been for awhile and yes thats how mine is...but if I remember correctly it should be the same on the Froyo CM6 build.

It's a Gingerbread setting that may have appeared in some of the later 6.x nightlies. Setcpu is great because it offers more control and profile settings over the built in governor.

*Edit*
I thought it was a CM 7 feature but I may have been wrong through quick searching.
