Clockwork Rom Manager freezes on HTC screen when backing up current Rom

Using the free version of Rom Manager, fully rooted, S-Off, stock rom, first time that I've attempted to back it up.

I already did Flash ClockworkMod Recovery successfully, but when I try to Backup Current ROM or Reboot Into Recovery my phone restarts but is stuck on the white HTC splash screen until I remove the battery.

Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or another method of backing up the current ROM that I should try?

You can try booting into recovery manually and making a backup from there. Also make sure your running the most current version of ROM Manager.
