Clockworkmod loop?

Ok, I've tried searching for anyone having this experience and can't find anything similar...

I was trying to convert to EXT4 using CWM 3.0.0.6 so I could flash my first ROMs. I was rooted running stock EC05. When CWM converted to EXT4 everything looked good, it said backing up, then restoring. The problem is it kept backing up, then restoring. I figured something was wrong when it kept showing the space left on the SD card and it kept decreasing every time for at least an hour. I am currently trying to Odin back to stock. Anyone have any ideas what/if anything I did wrong?

What method were you using to convert to EXT4? OneClickRoot or something else?

I believe it was the OneClickRoot... clicked on the link on xda to download CWM3 on the main thread for SyndicateROM Frozen

If it helps, I Odined back to EC05 (I think) after getting stuck there, tried to reboot and was stuck in a loop. I got back in to CWM 2.5.1.0 and it looks like my restore files are still there, the funny thing is there is the first image 2011-05-04.15.36.20/ followed by 13 (!) different images, each titled "before-ext4-convert-...." each with a different number following convert-

I would really recommend starting fresh...

I would recommend using the Odin package below, it will install a prerooted version of EC05 with CWM 3.0.0.6 installed ready to go using Odin.

Select this version in the thread below Slightly Modded EXT4 EC05 Tar Prerooted Deodexed Zipaligned Png Optimized
Stock Pre-Rooted Deodexed Zipaligned Png Optimized EC05 Tar 4/7/2011 Fixed Both Tars

Once you complete that install with Odin, go ahead and boot up one time. Then shut down and boot into CWM. It will complete the EXT4 conversion by doing the backup and restore. Once completed you can flash whatever ROMs you like.

Thanks so much for the help. I will try that method tomorrow...a little stressed out after trying to get this done for the last 4 hours. Finally got it up and running after trying the Odin package to EC05 with the complete wipe.

Coming from an overclocked Pre a few months ago, I'm glad I went with Android...the community seems to be just as helpful. Thanks again - hope the next try goes smoother.
