I greatly understand the value of screen protectors and cases, and I know accidents happen, but I have always run naked with my devices.

I carried my Pre in it's sleeping bag. Small, simple microfiber pouch. I also put the pouch down first on whatever surface I was planning to set the phone on. I never mind the extra step of having to take it out of the pouch to use it. In fact my Evo is laid on it right now!

Is there something very similiar or better yet identical in construction for something the size of the Evo? Of course I would like it to be snug. I figured I could find some universal or generic case but even department stores didn't have something comparable. I keep think I'll just buy the $10 pouch from the android central store, but I know it's not what I'm looking for.

I stopped at a local T-Mobile store on launch day and picked one up(made for the HD2) since sprint, best buy and radio shack didn't have any. Girl sold it to me for $3.00. It's a sleeping bag similar to what the Pre came with.

I usually buy one from Sunglass Hut. I haven't checked to see if they have one that fits the EVO yet though.

I buy the sunglasses hut bags for my phones. They look similar to the oakley bags. They work great. I think they are 6 or 7 dollars.

IPOD Slip

If you have an old IPOD, the slip case that came with it worked perfectly for me the first weekend. never used it for my ipod but was the best for the evo.:D

I've been using a microfiber pouch that came with my sunglasses until my case arrives. It's done a great job of keeping the screen and camera clean. I don't remember how much I paid for the sunglasses, but the pouch was free.

I am using this leather slip pouch right now. It was originally designed for the HD2 but fits the Evo pretty well; a little tight at first, but the leather stretches out quickly. I also found the same pouch on ebay for a lot cheaper from different Hong Kong / China sellers.
