Cloud / Backup confusion

When I first set up my HTC one m8 im not sure which options I choose to backup or go to cloud. How can I find which options I pressed. What are the options. Is it just cloud or is it back up also. Bit confused, thanks.

Go to settings, scroll down and select backup & reset. The options to change are from there. This is the cloud back up routine for the phone and you can choose either HTC or Google to back up to. A standard backup is when you plug your phone into your computer and use the HTC Sync Software to backup.
