CloudAgent has stopped

I found a way to fix it!
I read around here that the problem is related to Dropbox.
I link dropbox with my Galaxy Note 2 and got this message and this is how I fix it:

1. Open Dropbox application
2. On the top bar, select the Photo icon
3. Press the blue button in the middle to enable the Photo Upload in Dropbox
4 DONE! CloudAgent never stopped working again :))

I did the above method this morning and it's now 6pm in Thailand and still not stop working. Yay!

It's a button that will enable the photo upload for Dropbox, if you haven't enable it already.
This button is in the Photo tab in Dropbox application.

I'm not sure if different device will show the same thing or not so just try to enable photo upload to dropbox.
I've been free of the problem for days now... this method works for me :)

Same problem here with my Galaxy S4. The photo app Gallery opens then immediately shuts. And I get the Cloud Agent error too.
But I don't see any "blue button" in Dropbox. And there is no "Personal" under Settings. Under Accounts, there is a Backup Option called "Cloud". But there are no boxes to uncheck,

I disabled it as well with success. Reading that images would be removed when disabling the feature, I went ahead and reenabled the sync feature-figuring that it would re-cache on the phone. Now, I am once again able to use the cloud agent without the error.

Had the same problem on my new Galaxy S4 and got this response from Dropbox:

Hi Andreas,
I'm very sorry for the delay of this response.
Based off the error message you're seeing ("Unfortunately, CloudAgent has stopped"), it sounds like you are running into problems with the "Samsung Device" app. Samsung created a new deep Dropbox integration for the Samsung Galaxy S4 that allows access to all documents in your Dropbox account from a special "DocumentSync" folder on your phone. This DocumentSync feature allows you to add, edit, and delete any files that appear in this folder and these modifications will show up both on your phone and in Dropbox.
However, DocumentSync is different from the Dropbox application on your phone and you can disable the DocumentSync feature without impacting the Dropbox app. You can turn off the DocumentSync feature on your phone by following these instructions:
1. From the main screen, press the Menu button.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Accounts.
4. Under 'backup options' tap Cloud
5. Tap Documents
6. Toggle off
Sorry for any confusion this might have caused, but I hope this helps! Feel free to let me know if you have any further questions.
Best,
Kelsey

I realise this is an old thread, and my OS is Android 5.0, but I had a hard to searching for a solution, and this thread was one of the top hits on Google, so I figured I ought to post.

So like everyone, when going into Gallery, I got the message that cloud agent has stopped. I tried most of the solutions presented, and none of them worked. I noticed in Good Play Store that the wrong Google Account was selected, because I was being asked for credit card information. I'm not sure if that part is relevant, but I did change to the correct account.

Next, I uninstalled/disabled Dropbox as much as possible (back to factory settings). Then, I enabled Dropbox via Google Play, and proceeded to update the application. Upon doing this, and opening gallery again, the issue was gone.

Hope this helps someone.

I had to delete DropBox from my Galaxy S4. After that I am now able to see photos in the gallery and the error message no longer appears.

Hi

I had the same problem I didn't want to delete my entire phone by a factory reset as some would have you do, reading between the lines I noticed drop box coming up on most posts, so I deleted my drop box and presto no more annoying message when I go in to my photo gallery. hope this helps as it worked straight away for me.
