When it comes to mobile tech i like to think of myself as an expert though im sure other folk are more knowledgeable then i am.
Recently decided to sell my samsung tab pro s and replace it maybe with a tab with spen (since i lost my note 7) . checked samsung site to see if any new tabs were released with an spen and saw the tab a. wanted to see if it was worth the purchase so i click the compare icon and did the same for my current s2 tablet. when i saw the fingerprint icon under tab s2.

I HAD NO! IDEA MY TABLET HAD A FINGERPRINT SCANNER? lol
i totally had a kid in candy store reaction. i hate fidgeting with lock screen so never had a lock on my tablet but i use it for bills and banking and this just changed the game for me lol

any one else not know this?

The fingerprint scanner, as much as many thought it was a gimmick, is actually quite handy for me, as well. I love using it on my Note 5.

I love the fingerprint scanner! In addition to logging into the tablet, both my password manager (lastpass) and my bank's app support it. Makes me wish my phone had it too.

Same here. My new phone doesnt have one. So i have to type in pw each time grrr. Annoying when in a hurry to make sure i have money before a purchase lol

I know this question is not the reason for your post but I have to ask, are you saying the tab a has an Spen? I have the 12.2 pro but aside from it being a bit larger than I want, it's getting a little old. I'd love to get a newer smaller tablet with an spen.

Theirs a new Tab A (2016) with spen. 10.1 screen.

The older tab A version also has an spen. I had the 9.7 in one.
