CM10 - I screwed up the messaging

I upgraded from stock to CM10 and restored my messages with titanium backup. I know you shouldn't restore system apps so I did data only. Unfortunately, this somehow messed up messaging as the stock messaging app immediately closes after I open it. I tried downloading handcent and it does the same thing. Is there a way to get this working again? I really don't want to have to start all over again. Thanks!

Clear cache, clear dalvik, reflash gapps.

If that doesn't work than wipe the big 3 and reflash everything (rom, gapps, whatever else you flashed the first time).

If you want to keep texts that bad just screencap them. There's a reason people tell you not to restore specific apps/data. Listen to them.

Thanks for the replies. I tried clearing cache and dalvik but that didn't help. I decided to wipe data and reflash and that did the trick. Getting apps installed and everything set up again was much quicker the second time. I'm loving CM10 now!

I said to reflash gapps after wiping those caches. A simple wipe would do nothing.

Anyway, as long as it's working you're good.

Yeah I know. I did all that before your post. Just didn't update the thread fast enough.

Hey, I just installed this app...does this mean I can delete what's on my phone and it will still be available in my gmail?
