CM11 to lollipop

Hey guys i have a question. My phone's now running CM11. I would like to get the lollipop update. So what would be a better idea: to flash the factory image of lollipop directly on my CM or to install first of all kitkat and than try to update from settings(is this even possible?)?
What would you do?
I think it will be way better if i would do a factory reset and delete everything on my phone and then install lollipop on a clean..fresh...nexus device.

Just wait for the stock images and reimage the phone... That's I would do.

Alternatively, you can install a custom ROM based off Lollipop once released. There should be stock versions ready to flash soon after release.
