CM6 install problem

Ive been trying to flash CM6 on my evo today with no luck. I keep running into a status 7 error when I try to install from the zip. Currently I am running RvU 1.3.2 with Clockwork recovery (installed using unrevoked2).

Is there something that I am missing? Ive tried out many different roms before with no problems with the install. Please help! I would really like to test out some of this froyo action!

Have you unlocked nand?

yes, I have Nand unlocked. I've never had a problem when it came to installing a custom rom until now

Because Unrevoked does not install Engineering HBOOT which is what you need to flash this... As i found out the hard way...

I just got to page 3 of your thread and I'm a little lost on how to get engineering hboot installed.

Try using simpleroot to unlock nand. If that doesn't work do part two of toast's instructions.

Sheesh. This is happening to me too. So a SimpleRoot unlock should fix this, eh?

Unrevoked eff'd up a lot of people's stuff.

I am currently running Fresh and wanted to check out CM6. It's odd that other roms will work. I'll give this a shot tonight when I get home, I suppose.

Basically you need to start over and reroot with Simple Root
