CM7 Notification Light while charging

One of my favorite features of CM7 was that if there were notifications while the device was charging, the light would blink instead of staying solid red. But now that I upgraded from stable 7.0.3.1 to stable 7.1.0, the light just stays red while charging, like it did with stock sense. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions?
