If this were to happen, do you think this could cause Samsung to lower the pricing on their folds? Samsung usually likes to be lower price the apple.

If I had to guess - and I do have to guess - this is in reference to the possible development of a folding iPhone.

There will be a folding iPhone, I have no doubt about that. The folding phone concept will probably take off once apple releases it. The smart watch was slow to take off also untill apple released one, then the smartwatch concept exploded.

Just would be nice if apple did lower the folding price, Samsung would probably lower to beat their price. Google was suppose to be the ones to to drop the price on folds.

If the folding iPhone sells for $1,999 for 512 GB version.

I just noticed the picture didn't upload for some reason even though it said complete. That explains the confusion
I see
For your question no I don't think they will because they offer discounts with trade ins and they think they own the Foldable market and now with the thinest Fold on the market
Maybe in the future when there is a stiffer competition and much reduced price., to me if other Foldable are in 1800.00-1900.00 range and Samsung is 2200 they won't drop it.

First it will probably instruct people to walk into rivers and into open man-hole covers before unfolding, people will probably listen.

Jokes aside, this will start a price-wae first, likely up, not down. The. The price might come down a bit.

My hope is this will create competition to innovative on less fragile inner screens. Also the race towards tri-folds. Right now a video is only a tiny bit and I mean tiny, bigger on Folds than a Ultra. I know productivity is a big part but not applicable to me so it won't mean much for me personally until then.

I'll be curious at what Samsung can do in future folds, I think this about the thinnest you would want to go, and screen size really is at optimal size. I'm guessing the tri-fold is Samsung's next big foldable. Maybe the fold we have now will be equivalent to the S series plus model and the tri-fold would be the equivalent to the S series ultra. I myself am not interested in the tri-fold.

I'm still going to hope for price reductions when more competition comes. I just don't see Samsung being higher priced then apple myself. You do have a point on the trade in discounts on Samsung though.
