cm7 stuck in a boot loop

i finally get the cm7 to flash! (yeah), the galaxy s/ cyanogen mod screen show up, but then it goes directly to the cwm4 orange screen. i pick the reboot system now option, right back to orange. cant even turn on..... ideas or help? greatly appreciated :'(

It sounds like you still need to install cm7. I think all you've done is install ClockworkMod Recovery. From that recovery (orange screen) you need to install CM7 from wherever you saved it on your SD card.

i did... now it just stops on the galaxy s/ cyanogen mod screen for a bit, then goes back to the clockworkmod recovery v4.0.0.5 (orange)..... why wont it start after it says successful instal?

ok. a few hours later, and i'm back to stock(no wifi, crappy reception). i've read a few of these forums, and most say to use cwm. a few say you can use odin. one said you cant use a rom manager to flash cm7. can someone please tell me which to use? the info contained here seems to be scattered and inconsistant. i just want it to work. alot of the download links pertaining to cm7 seem to be broken or deleted.

Are you on stock GB (2.3), or stock Froyo (2.2)?

If you are on Froyo, my suggestion would be to start first by using ODIN to load the latest GB on your phone. That will give you back your wifi and data.

Then, read as much as you can at XDA on the CM7 ROM and make sure you really want to use that ROM on your phone. And the best bet is to stay away from using ROM Manager for the Fascinate. There is nothing you can't do using ODIN and CWM.
