cm7 to cm7.2

im on cm7 right now,and see cm7.2 is up for download in ROM manager(the app). If i just click download will everything i have right now(apps,contacts,etc.) be transfered or do i have to do all that complicated nandroid stuff and backups and what not. if i do have to do all that stuff please tell me how

First - you should always make a backup/nandroid before flashing a new ROM.

You will most likely get away with going from 7 to 7.2 without a full wipe, but I would do it in Clockwork not ROM manager. Download the ROM, boot into recovery, clear cache and dalvik cache and then flash the ROM. If everything works well you're good to go, if not you have a backup you can go to and then do a full wipe and reload.

I too may do this same upgrade. Is it a Nandroid and a Titanium backup that should be done before the new flash?

You can do a Titanium backup for your apps and data if you like, but you should definitely do a Nandroid (clockwork) backup.
