CM7 vs faux123 AOSP rom for G2X

I have been using cyanogenmod 7 nightlies on my G2X for a month or so now. I love it, its a great rom, definately a cut above stock froyo. Has anyone used the AOSP 2.3.4 rom? Ive read it is very similiar to cm7, just wondering what opinions people who have used it have.

I have not used both, only CM7.1, and then only the RC, not nightlies.

The biggest differences that I can see is that a lot of the tweaks that cyanogen made aren't in there, except where they have to be to get it to function. Also, you won't get Cyanogen settings, or the cool lockscreen options.
