I am trying to install cmw7 and I have rotted and everything and have it on root of sdcard but when I try to install it it abortion it and says status 7. Wtf does this mean????

I am having the same problem. I reverted back to Stock eclair. I then did an OTA updated to Froyo, then I Odin'd the CWM cwm-recovery-ALL-3-30-FIX.tar and cleared all the caches etc. Then I tried to update from the zip and got that same error. So then I decided to go ahead and root it. Odin'd CWM again but I still got the same error.
Yes I am flashing CWM in Odin. I just tried flashing straight to ED05 and still I am getting the same error.
Trial and error buddy... But dont be afraid to ask questions. Everyone is real helpful here. Gotten me outta a few jams...
OK wait I'm a dumba$$ apparently. e I mean can't get cyanogenmod to boot and load when I'm in cmw it says status 7 and shorts the install I have cmw red and everything I think I need but it won't install cm

just replace the vanilla gb file with latest cm7 you r trying to go to and profit.....

Personally I didn't know if you were having CWM issues or CM7 issues.
