Cnet review

I suppose others can enjoy pay $199 on a different phone and spend the savings on an external battery pack.

The price is exactly what I expected for the phone - top of the line pretty much always runs $250-300.

Up. Spend $199 and by the time you buy a 16GB card, a wireless charging back, and an extended battery, you are pretty close to $299 and your phone is fatter.

CNET reviewed the Maxx again but this time with a production phone. This time it got an "outstanding" review. Even higher than the new iPhone.
Naturally, the comment section is filled with angry apple fanatics, LOL

The Maxx does deserve the 9-star rating and paying $300 for a great phone just released is nothing new.

I would give it 10 stars if it had some additional features found on the S4, including better camera features and a split screen.

Here's hoping that the software improvements help the camera out
