How do we get on the 50% off thing lol.. That's a lot

LOL it’s the Sʌᴍsᴜɴɢ Insight program I got luck cause some people on reddit had referrals and I messaged a guy on there who gave me one. I filled out the survey yesterday so we’ll see if I get picked.

Top 5 reasons to spend $1400 on the Ultra...

1 - Largest best phone screen ever!!... Ok that's understandable.
2 - OneUI... huh?? #2 reason?? Not the camera?? Uh... ok.
3 - No Bixby... huh?? #3 reason to spend $1400?? What about the camera??
4 - No curved glass... WTF??!! Really?? What about the camera??

And 5th reason to buy the Ultra... Pro Mode!... so that you can create the pics you want that auto mode can't!!

Huh?? What kind of video was that??

I think he made the video to push his LaterCase. Lol displaying it front and center.

The cloud blue looks so much better in pics and videos than it does in pperson. In person it's way too light for my taste.

That is too bad! I guess I'll have to see it in person to understand what you are saying. I do like light colours though, so I may like it! But it's unfortunate when the "real life" colour of the phone is not what you were expecting.

A very fast and limited review of an S20+ cloud blue.
  • Color: I liked it.
  • Feel: great., very comfortable for me.
  • Weight: felt light to me and also very comfortably.
  • Size: Bigger, loved the size.
  • Screen, from the little I saw it was very clear and easy to read.
  • Appeared to be very fast. However, I only set it up so not a good review of the speed.
  • Fingerprint sensor: Complete fail. After five tries I called customer assistance and they could not help or should I say, they really appeared not to care. No matter what was tried, the phone would NOT register a thumbprint of my right hand. And if I cannot use my right hand thumbprint, it has to go back. Customer assistance referred me to sales and the return label was sent and that was a good experience. Very friendly and issued the return label in seconds.

Comments: I can't believe it was my thumb print that was the problem. As many times as I have been fingerprinted by the Federal government in my life everything was a-OK.

So it is going back, and honestly, I really LIKE THIS PHONE.

And I guess since the S20 is supposed to have a better sensor than the S10 an S10+ replacement is out of the question.

So it is back to the drawing board to figure out what I can get to replace my LG G7 (a good operating phone, but I just hate the interface and oddities of LG's system).

Pixel 4XL, or the dreaded iPhone 11 Max? (I'm actually saying iPhone?

I might get hit by lightening on the way to Fedex.)

See you guys, guess no need to hang around the S20 series phones.

Good luck to all.

That sucks. The fps works pretty flawlessly for me on the ultra. It's my first time using a fps, I never set it up on my Note 9.

I may have had a bad one, but tech support never asked if I wanted a replacement, but they had me reset it, go through, setting up, and trying it again, and no luck.
I'll live.:D

That's odd. The fp sensor on my S20 Ultra is absolutely flawless. In fact, it's noticeably faster and more accurate than my Note 10+. That's my experience at least. Love it and love this phone!

I'm not going to say one thing about the camera...because the camera was not a major factor in my decision to purchase, and the camera is pretty much all anyone talks about. You don't need my take. I have the S20+, 512 GB, Cobalt Black.

I came home to my phone Friday evening, so I haven't had a full day with it. It's a keeper, and I'm glad I decided to get it - although I don't see myself upgrading in a year, like I usually do. I love the size, the feel...the display is absolutely beautiful, as is with Samsung flagships. It's a tad taller and skinnier than my S10+, and that's probably why it feels better in my hands.

It charges super fast, and I'm going to see what type of battery drain I get with the 120 hz refresh. The fingerprint scanner is WAAAAY better than the one on my S10+, and that was something I wanted to check out immediately, because folks were crying about it before it even left the gate. I expected a much better fingerprint unlock experience, and Samsung delivered. Matter of fact, registering my fingerprints was quick and easy, and I didn't have to press hard.

Over the weekend, I'll get to test the call quality. If I'm this happy day one, I'm expecting only greater joy with software updates....and I hope they don't mess up the fingerprint scanner. Side note: If you want a clear case that looks good, has a nice lip and side edge protection (great side edge protection is hard to come by), and is "grippy", check out the Poetic Affinity. The first generation was a favorite of mine for my S9+, and the new one is just...awesome. I have about 6 or 7 clear cases now, and the Affinity is the first case I chose for my new baby. I have the Galaxy Active 2 watch, and the Buds+, which are better than the first generation.

This is a really good review and I think a lot of what they say is why I cancelled my pre-order. (I originally pre-ordered the plus)

Ignoring camera gripes for a second the biometrics are a joke really given the asking price and the reviewers comments on gestures also resonated, on my S10 I have had to rely on one handed operation plus to make them work anywhere near close to how I like.

Did you leave the screen protector on? I have so far and finding the fps pretty fininky.
