I've seen the forums about a coating on the M8 that scratches over time. And I've noticed scratches on mine, but I don't know if there is a coating on it. I've tried nail polish remover, but the scratches still remain. Any help is appreciated.😊

Use a Q-tip and some toothpaste.
Wet the Q-tip with water and put a little toothpaste on it and gently polish the lens until the coating is removed. Took me about 20min and I haven't noticed any degradation in photo quality.

I went with magic eraser. Took about 2 minutes. What I liked about the eraser was that I didn't need to apply any pressure to get the coating off. When I had the problem the first time, I used toothpaste and qtip, but I applied too much pressure and ultimately broke the seal around the lens cover and housing.

Sounds like it the coating is still there. I've also used a Magic Eraser and it was easy.

I solved it. Took water and an old library card and scratched it off for the most part. Then took rubbing alcohol and rubbed it with a q-tip, and it works great now. But after that I had condensation on the lens, so I left it in a bag of uncooked brown rice over night and it went away. I'm glad to be able to use my phone normally again. Thanks for they help everyone.
