color fades problem on chrome and wifi bar

This only happens when I open chrome browser the color on the screen would fades for half a second greyish and then the colors comeback like normal. I thought it was an chrome thing, but I noticed in my last 2 days it also affected my WiFi status bar. My WiFi status even though is connected to the internet, show the color grey (keyboard color). I only got it back to normal when I rebooted the device. Anyone else experiencing this color fading problem like me on screen?

The chrome fading thing may just be chrome refreshing the page. It sounds similar to what it does on all my devices running chrome. Including my iPad. As for the signal, usually when the bars go gray, it means you can't connect to the internet or something like that.
