Column headings on SD card all music-related

I am new to Android, having just bought my first smartphone so please excuse my ignorance. I have just installed a new SD card, having copied all the folders from my old small one to my PC. I then copied all the folders from the PC back to the new card. Everything has copied OK, as far as I can see, but I am really confused by the column headings in my folders. I do have a folder for music, in which it is good to see track, artist etc, but I allso save a lot of other data such as maps, photos, documents etc to the card. Whatever folder I copy to SD, it insists on the column headings being the same as the music folder, whatever they were originally. Is there some setting that I haven't found that is specifying a default view format? I really want to get round this because I don't see the information that I need for the other types of file.
