com.android.systemui has stopped

Since last night my tablet (Sefton) every time I power it on, only thing I can see is the "unfortunately com.android.systemui has stopped" and does not leave me do anything to try to fix it.

Neither can I reboot it in safe mode

Have you tried booting into safe mode? If you can't choose anything try booting into safe mode and going in and clearing your cache to see if that helps.
