Combined inbox for EVO?

I tried to do my due diligence before posting. I could only find info on other phones for this problem. My apologies upfront if I have missed a thread that I could have been pointed to.

I was a Pre defector and the one thing that I'm kind of missing is the universal inbox. I have three email accounts, none are for work. Gmail, Ymail, and Yahoo. I don't really like the Gmail app itself and the HTC mail client is very 1.0 to me. Is there any solution that anyone could recommended that would provide me with Push notification (not polling) and a combined inbox?

Side note: I have also heard that I can add my Gmail account as an exchange account instead of IMAP. Is there a benefit to doing this, and if so how do I do it?

So is this the only option that people have? I tried it but I dont really like it.
