Man. This phone is freaking awesome. I was hesitant but wow. Brighter screen. More manageable form factor. Better video stabilization. FPS is excellent and very convenient during covid times. Incredible battery. No bezels. 5G will be a good thing whenever 5G is actually real. Great audio quality when talking to people as well as YouTube, etc. Lightweight, bright, and smooth as ever. Might not even get a case as it's pretty grippy and easy to hold. Loving this phone.

That's pretty great to hear especially since the 4 XL has higher specs. We keep reaching a point that I think why do we need anything faster? Unless you're gaming on your phone, "midrange" devices are just fine!

You don't find the phone too narrow compared to your 4XL? If I'm correct the screen on the 5 is 1/4 inch narrower than my 2XL.

P5 may be brighter than 4 xl isn't saying much though. Google still making dim screens compared to others. I had to turn the brightness to almost full to equal my s20 plus at slightly less than half its full brightness.

Agreed. I had an S10 before I got a 4xl and the screen was brighter, but the P5 is definitely an improvement from the 4XL and works great. I wasn't comparing to Samsung's or other brands, I was comparing between the 4XL and the 5.

I've had the Pixel 5 for two days now, after having the Pixel 4Xl for a year and I'm very happy with the switch.

The size is the best difference. I don't have small hands, nor very big hands, I wear medium to large gloves, and the Pixel 5 is so much easier to use one handed and just fits in pockets nicer. You don't lose much actual screen real estate since you mostly just lose bezels - I read a lot of stuff on my phone and haven't missed the Pixel 4XL at all. But yeah, just walking my dog or around the city and checking my phone, so much better now, plus checking my grocery list while shopping as well.

FPS is real nice when having a mask on, you just gotta rebuild that muscle memory that has your finger on the sensor as it comes out of your pocket, it's already coming back for me.

Haven't noticed any difference in speed when it comes to what I do with the phone, which is everything but gaming. I did take a few test photos and it does take that little bit longer to process the photo, which I don't like.

The hole punch camera is a bit distracting but I suspect it will turn into background noise as I use the phone more.

No issue with the front speaker sound while on phone calls or navigating or watching videos (don't watch many videos and they are not music videos)

Same here. I really like the FPS and it's much easier to use one handed.

I checked it out and I like the phone but two hand typing was tough, screen is small.

But one handed use is much h better.

I finally checked out the pixel 5 at best buy and i was turned off by the smaller size. I consume a lot of media on my phone so this definitely isn't the phone for me. The Galaxy fold 2 on the other hand blew my mind lol

Phone might be smaller but actual screen size in use without the bezels is the same as the 4XL. So not as much space wasted. Battery lasts forever.

No matter how you slice it, the P5 is smaller than 4xl. 6.0 compared to 6.3. May not sound like much, but it makes a big difference.

4XL screen is 6.3 inches at 19:9 ratio making it 6.3 X 3 inches.

5 screen is 6 inches at 19.5:9 ratio making it 6.0 X 2.76 inches.
