Coming from a iPhone 3g

I read that samsung does not update the android os that often. Why does htc have phones with small capacity batteries?

yes i've read that too about samsung...... i dont really understand why htc makes their phones with small battery capacities... I mean if Motorola managed to put 1880 mah battery in the Atrix and yet make the phone slim why cant HTC do the same? the hardware and software are mainly the same on all modern smartphones. Galaxy s II is the thinniest one yet with awesome specs and people seem to be happy with its battery performance... on a side note, if you look at the forum of just about any smartphone of any maker you inevitably will see complain threads. No device is perfect. even with Atrix people complain about horrible battery life. it all depends on what you have installed what is running and on daily usage generally... I think i made a good choice about the Atrix and with ipod 4g Im gonna have the best of two worlds for now... until quad core tegra tablets will begin to appear...

yes, iphone4 folks are luckier as they'll be getting ios 5 soon (and me too on my itouch yeahh!)

I messed with a friends iphone 4 it was faster but more of the same. That is why was thinking about an android phone instead for a change of pace

yes, aside of the retina display and improved hardware, the OS didnt change much. what I dont like about iOS is that Aplle adds major improvements that already exist on other platforms and makes it a big "Event" but I suppose these guys know how to make money and advertise their products

I had a debate with about what you wrote. He was doing everything to stay in the apple camp. I told him i was disappointed that they did not come up with anything that is not already around. He tried to me about icloud but i do not care about that. He has been an apple guy for awhile and i think he has lost objectvity totally.

I actually think that if they would allow flash on iOS devices they could attract a lot more consumers and probably outsell Android devices by large numbers

i think its unknown yet. but i think maybe by the end of august there are photos of it already...

I would about samsung not coming through with android os updates. The atrix seems to be supported well so far

well as far as i know infuse just got an update, it was a minor one but still, considering that the phone came out recently...

well... i personally use Atrix mainly as a web access device. So heres what i got on it: ebay paypal citibank chase amazon myATT google reader, adobe reader ( mainly for subway and bus maps) documents to go (great app btw) kindle app, gallery3D from the market ( native motorola gallery app sucks) iReader for reading nonkindle books. I'm running Launcher Pro btw it has lots of costumization options. also I use one very small but really awesome app: "vibrate mode by force" the stock android has somewhat lame sound profiles so before, when i would set my phone to vibrate and then during the call try to increase the volume and i think when using music app as well, it would switch back to ringer and when someone calls me my phone would ring unexpectedly. so this app sets its to permament vibrate, I can use volume rocker while in calls, games, music but when someone calls me it would always vibrate. I had my blackberries always on vibrate but it was built-in in the system. I also use weatherbug app i had it on my bb as well. one of the best weather apps out there... well the rest are games....

yes very easy you donwlod it from the market free limited version first, try it, and if you like it I believe its about $4 to get a full ver. you may also download a small free app "home switcher" so you could easily switch between lets say motoblur and launcher pro. so once you install it use home switcher to set it as default and the rest is really a costumization fun, setting app widgets shortcuts folders and whatnot. really cool app i like it more than ADW...

why not wait for gingerbread and see how you like that? i just dont see a reason to buy a phone if you want to change it so much before you buy it.

launcher pro does not change the phone its merely a theme. if you replace a stock rom with cyanogen mod or anything like that then its another story.. im actually looking forward to see a revised motoblur on GB it looks interesting. i might stick to it after all.
