Compact Qwerty

I use the compact qwerty on my Incredible. Not as good as the one on my Storm but I still like it. Does anyone know if there's a way to change the "default" word that it chooses for you? Every time I type the word "if" the default word that it uses when I hit the spacebar is "I'd" and I end up typing wrong almost every time.

it should be saving your word choices as you go. maybe this isnt a feature if you are using a specialty keyboard?
