Comparing Ipad, Surface, and Asus 300f

Apple has made great products. Still the devotion that some people have to Apple borders on religion. Apple's business model has also worked for them by keeping their customers under their thumb (and most of them liked it). Whatever! It's a free country and you can a fanboy for MS, Apple, or Google if you want. I like the way the Gates has finally given away so much of their money and I like the way Google gives us some of their stuff for free. I wanted to see some photos taken by my daughter in Apple iCloud. Nope. Can't do that. Apple ain't given that away for free.

Well I am in googles Eco system and Apples so that's no problem FOR ME, I don't speak for anyone else.

PC's have pretty much eliminated all the advantages that Mac's used to have so now it's all about brand preferences. Apple no longer has the best tablet since the Nexus 10 came out but for those who like Apple it's still a better choic . These days there's no real advantage depending on what you want your devices to do.

Not trying to start a flame war just throwing my perspective on it.

That's cause no hacker cares about Mac's, they're no more resistant to viruses than PC's like everyone thinks they're just never the target cause more people probably own PC's so the payload for the hacker is much bigger.

Sadly I have a legitimate iSheep in my class that refuses to believe Mac's aren't completely immune to viruses. He always uses the same 1-2 arguments every time without backing them up.

I know how you feel. My school is full of rich kids and I am 1 of 3-4 who have an android. The rest are all drones, always buying the newest model. I find it funny how they complain about lack of features and jailbreak there phones, but don't realize that android still has more customization. I have nothing against this, people make there own decisions, but I used to have an iPhone and hated it, so when it got stolen, I got an android and never looked back.

So I admit I dislike Apple--mainly because I think they overprice their products. (Maybe they are priced higher because they are better?) Their products are good but some people just buy them because they are Apple. I am glad that Samsung is starting to compete bigtime with their smartphone. We have some good competition now between iphones and samsungs new smartphone. And I am glad that Google is now providing competition in the tablet market.

So my daughter and son-in-law have Macs because they want to be different than the bigger chunk of people who have PCs.

Then I have in-laws who use Linux because they want to be completely different.

Totally agree with not buying from a company that you dislike, even if you think they make a good product. Just their brand on it will detract from your enjoyment, even if the reason for the dislike is irrational.

For example, I won't buy Ford vehicles because of Henry Ford and his companies financial and political support of Nazi Germany... I know full well that there are very likely few, if any, current employees that support Nazi Germany... but if I was driving a Ford, I'd always feel like I was giving my money to that cause. Similar reasons that I won't interact with Chase (JP Morgan), watch news programs owned by GE, buy clothes from designers that are out of the racist closet, etc. etc.

We vote in society with our dollars, it's the only real vote that we have. Being choosy about how you utilize your vote is commendable, even if others don't agree with your reasons.
