I have both iPhone 6+ and Note 5. My experience is that both can accurately unlocked the phone quickly. But I found finger scan on Android is pretty much useless. It only unlocked the phone. No apps take advantage of the finger scan. It is very useful in iPhone, many apps use it and I really like it. But that comes with down side. I used the TouchID too much and I forgot the actual password. I do hope Android apps will start to make use of it more.

Use same finger and set it up multiple times. Then it will always work.

I feel Samsung finger print scanner has pretty much caught up with touch id, in fact comparing with my 6+ the note 5 finger print scanner unlocks the phone faster....

Could also be the animation though that makes it seems faster.... Oh well.... Just my cuppa tea

I have an iPhone 5s that I use for work. My Note 5's fingerprint sensor works just as well as the iPhone's. They are both vastly superior to the Note 4's.
