Sorry, I'm a windows phone user. I'm considering a switch to a Samsung phone to use with the S3. I don't have any experience using an android phone. I'm curious if the S3 will need a phone with a certain......software? ie Lollipop, Nougat, etc.

I love my Band 2 and the tight integration of notifications and features. I would want the same integration between the phone and S3.

I actually enjoy WP. My carrier will have no bearing on my decision.

There are specific features that only work with the same manufacturer. I have features on my Band 2 that Android or iphone users don't get. I was curious if that will be the same with the S3 and the all the Samsung phones or only certain ones.

Just picked up mine from at&t. They only had one and only the supply person new they had it. Just hooked it up to my lg v20. Everything seems to work as advertised. I do use the at&t service called numbersync so it does receive calls and texts from my lg v20's phone number.
