COMPLETE SPECULATION (Hardware features of N6)

So I have been eyeing the back of both the moto x and the leaked images of N6, and the crater for M logo just doesnt sit right with me. Russell Holly from geek.com said that the crater on moto x was supposed to be fingerprint scanner and got scrapped. I also heard this from tk tech news before. Any hopes that google brings this integration to the N6 and makes it a new hardware feature for android? It could be integrated similar to the way Huawei has done with matte 7 and if google does it and ties it in with software we can hope for more apps to actual support the hardware. Again this is pure speculation/hoping/wishing as I really think my next phone will have this feature weather its N6 or Note 4 lol. Can you guys think of any other new hardware design google could integrate into the N6?
