Computer can't detect my Redmi Note 5 (636) while in Fastboot mode

Hello, I'm using a Redmi Note 5 (whyred variant) and I'm trying to unlock the bootloader, but my laptop fails to detect my device while in Fastboot mode, and thus the Unlock button doesn't activate in the Mi Unlock tool. It has no problem with it otherwise. Any help?

Chinese or Indian model? I read on the internet the India model could not easily be bootloader unlocked.....
