Computer won't recognize rooted evo4g

Anyone else have this issue? I posted this in another thread, but haven't heard back from anyone yet.

My phone will charge, but i can't access anything else. At first when I plugged it in my computer said unrecognized device, now it doesn't even register that I plugged something in. It's not my computer, I tried my new phone and it works. I updated htc sync and it just says no device connected.

Check your usb cable. Try using another one. It may be the cable. It may not. Does it charge in the wall?

+1 ..also check that you have USB debugging enabled on phone
