Hey Everyone!

I want to buy the galaxy edge 7 but i`m concerned about the SAR rating value.
in gsmarena site they give the following numbers
SAR US 1.17 W/kg (head) 1.59 W/kg (body)
SAR EU 0.26 W/kg (head) 0.51 W/kg (body)

how can the EU SAR be so low and the US SAR be high for the same phone???

Please help, I`ve not been able to find an answer to this anywhere.
Thanks,
Ido

Different ways of measuring it? Different bands being measured?

And see SAR. SAR is a US (FCC) measurement, not a European measurement. "SAR EU" is kind of "European US dollars".

The maximum safe rate is 1.6 Watts/kilogram, so even 1.59 (which could have been measured at a toe) is still safe. (If values a little above 1.7 W/k were unsafe, there would be thousands of cops who'd died of radiation exposure - 5 Watt radios, mounted so the antenna is shooting through your skull, at 400-500MHz, is about the worst situation for health - the skull focuses that frequency right about at the cerebral cortex, meaning a few hours exposure to that should end in death. It doesn't.)

thanks for the reply but I was asking something different.
I know it`s 2 different ways to measure SAR but it`s not logical that 1 way of measuring would find that the phone has very low radiation(EU SAR)
and the other would find that it has very high radiation (SAR US).
