^^Read through this thread, people^^. It's just 2 weeks old. Can we find it within ourselves to get bring the tone of our discussion back to what it was then?

Once this phone finally releases, we need a strong community behind it. I know we're all frustrated by the lack of word from Verizon, but we need to be inclusive to ensure that we'll have a robust, positive community after launch. Negativity towards one another won't help us build that.

I knew it was a good idea to open that thread. I still check the forum every day, but the past week has been difficult. I know we'll all get friendly again after it's out, but why can't we do it before then?

this is by far the worst thread yet!!!! of course it will turn around when the phone comes out. everybody is on edge. the people that dont get that and keep asking why every body is edgy and to just chill, they just dont get it. look at the incredible community, it was just like this during that ridiculous release, but is now one of the best forum communities on the web.

Make a bunch of geeks wait for a new toy and what do you expect? Civility and intelligent discourse? On the Interwebs?

This is a perfectly sane way to vent frustration. Here, Twitter, FB, etc. Why try to stifle it?

+1 to op, however I think that now we have pictures of the phone taken yesterday at a VIP launch party, I think things will start to calm down on their own. No need to alienate eachother, as we will all need batery saving tips by the end of next week....

My mind right now...

I'm just excited cause i realized the following after i looked at the 4g coverage map in my area...

nothing is wrong with my Droid X but i tested 4G on a USB stick for work and it rocked....

A bit worried about buying a 1st Gen. 4G phone with battery life, (nightmares of my days with a storm 1) but i charge my Droid X twice a day now so who cares....

Choices are a good thing.... lol
