Yep, I've posted smack about it and praised my N9, but after messing with a black N10+ for a while today:

In spite of the hole, the display is amazing.

Essentially same footprint as the N9, but display is taller and more importantly IMO wider, due to less bezel and slightly wider size.

Speakers are IMO, WTF good for a phone and noticeably better than the already good N9.

I like emulators and already know the 855 is about 30% better CPU, so that's a plus.

Camera does noticeably better in low light

I preordered the Black N10+ 512 Verizon and trading the N9 for $650 (counting BB $50 discount), plus the $150 Samsung credit. Will use it and get the Samsung buds.

Definite hypocrisy here, but owning up ;)

Hahaha I was going to reply to your post about the N10 the other day and say that you know what, I bet you'll order it within 3 months.

While I like the buds (because they were free), just bear in mind that they have terrible connectivity with non-Samsung devices (and even with Samsung ones they still glitch out every now and then). If you use them on a Windows PC you can expect some audio lag (same PC with non-Aptx-capable Jabra headphones, no lag...for comparison). They do feel super light and barely-there in your ear, so that's why I keep using mine, but if I had to pay for these, I'd definitely have to return or wouldn't be able to justify the current price tag.

So if the credit doesn't expire soon (someone told me that the Samsung.com pre-orders had to use the credit right then and there, no extension) and you already own headphones you like, I'd probably wait for the Galaxy Active 2 Watch instead of the earbuds. And get those with the next Galaxy if they fix their issues with the second iteration :P

Heard that from others too.... That one fitty has to go to something....

Ironic, since my airpods work with everything and well with the N9. No lag. They suck using in loud areas though. Especially planes since open design.

Works fine with my 1+7 Pro and Surface Book.

Lmao

Guess that leaves me. I never doubted the hardware improvements would be good, just that the feature removals were not worth it.

I am sure that I will eventually upgrade to a future Note, but because I will have to.

First step is admitting it.lol Seriously though I'm glad you got a chance to at least play with the phone before making a final decision.

Tempted here as well.. Getting Note 10+ upgrading from Note 9...iam using galaxy buds daily with my Note 9 and sound is awesome and very light and fast paring with Note 9
Iam using mate 20 pro also daily and don't really miss the headfone jack but at parties sometimes with big speakers it's handy...
I think Note 10+ is a upgrade to Note 9...just waiting to see how much upgrade value will get for Note 9

I'm glad that you aren't having the same problems I have had with Samsung headphones. I have yet to have a good pair.

I had no intention of ordering until I found out to they were offering 600 for the Pixel 3XL. I was using it as a secondary device and sometimes putting my work SIM in. I checked Swappa and they are selling for about half the trade value

Disappointing the Pixel 3XL is worth less than the the Pixel 2XL was after the 3 was launched last year

People have showed me me screen shots that showed an e card for 200 when they didn't add accessories. It's the wording they used when I tried to advance shopping cart that made feel like I would lose it.

Must be bad QC because my Galaxy buds work really well

I don't know if they finally fixed it on the Buds, but 2 separate $60 headphones, the iconx 2018, and the warranty replacement iconx all experience the exact same problem.

Good post, rushmore. I was/am in the same boat. The N10+ is really not that exciting to me when talking about full price. But when you can basically get $800 on the N9 trade in for a Verizon N10+ 5G, it makes me look at it in a different light. But there are still a couple of things holding me back, like waiting for the 2nd gen Qualcomm 5G modem, the X55 and it's associated antenna tuning package. Sounds like it will be a big step forward in the 5G world.

But unless you already live (and carry out most of your life) in a 5G-capable area, the 5G is really just overkill (at least on the S10 version you got an extra camera... here, you pretty much just get the overpriced 5G modem).
