I recently got this "Configuration Update" message on my Moto G73 phone (Android 14).
How do I tell if this legitimate or a scam?
Also, what triggers these messages?
I didn't install the update because I wasn't sure.
Any help appreciated.

It's not uncommon for service providers to give an update like here on my Samsung but I have to manually check, I never got a message , possibly different manufacturer do it differently

Hi, thanks for the replies.
I did contact Lebara to try and find out why I got this message but all I got back was "if your phone is working okay just ignore it"
I'd still like to find out what triggers these messages.

I contacted Motorola support who sent me this:

"Thank you for contacting Moto & Lenovo customer support.
Those messages are updates from your carrier, you have to accept those updates because are pushed by Lebara itself in order to add or fix network functionality to your phone."

Can't say I'm happy to just act on messages like these, especially when they come with a security warning, but I can't seem to find any other way of achieving the same result more securely. Maybe I'm being a bit over-cautious.
